Aspen Knoll's Jake Our GSD rescue is not part of our breeding program.
Jake came to us through a posting online from a friend of mine. She sent me pictures of Jake and his litter mate stating "If you know anyone that can provide a good home for one of these pups please contact etc." The pups were 8 weeks old and beautiful and the male puppy captured my heart immediately. Michael & I were not exactly in agreement about adopting Jake at first , as we had our two elderly long-coated GSDs at the time. Max was11 yrs. and Misty was 9 yrs. old. A third dog was not exactly part of our plan, but there was something so captivating about this boy......finally we agreed and went and got him. Jake has been a joy to share our lives with. He absolutely adores puppies and small breed dogs. From his training at the NHSPCA with a tiny terrier as his playmate to present days with assisting us in raising Shayne & now Dylan he is a wonderful, nurturing, gentle soul. People have said Jake was lucky to be adopted by us, but I feel it is the other way around. Having Jake has been one of the most rewarding choices we have ever made. Our rescue (?GSD?) actually really did belong right here with us to comfort us when it was time for Max & Misty to cross the Rainbow Bridge & to be the best example and leader to our pups Shayne & now Dylan. You are one wonderful rescue dog Jake & thank you for all you do each & every day to complete our lives and for always being ready for a game of fetch!
